About Lucia

Engineering to Psychotherapy

Early in my engineering career, I discovered that my true passion was not in calculating the load a bridge could carry, but in supporting people’s mental health and building meaningful connections. This led me to transition into psychotherapy, where I now combine analytical skills with deep empathy to support my clients.

Mental Health Experience

I have worked with adults and youth in a variety of settings, providing therapy for those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identity exploration. My experience also includes:

  • Providing therapy to survivors of motor vehicle accident trauma

  • Volunteering as a crisis line counsellor with the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre

  •  Working in case management ages 15-26 and 55+

  • Housing stability services for individuals with a history of homelessness.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that therapeutic change begins with a strong, trusting relationship. My approach is genuine, collaborative, and inclusive. I strive to create a safe space where clients can explore even the most difficult experiences at their own pace.

Outside of Work

  • I love watching movies (ex. Lord of the Rings, Hacksaw Ridge, My Big Fat Greek Wedding)

  • TV shows (ex. The Office, Superstore, Game of Thrones, Euphoria)

  • Experimenting with pasta recipes

  • Trying new workout classes

  • Spending time with animals
